LaCount went on to say that it was also great to be home, an understandable sentiment considering the band had been on tour in Europe and the U.S. since before Halloween and spent a good chunk of 2008 on the road. Florence Court development moves ahead

In an apparent compromise between developer Clark Gassen and the Marcy-Holmes Neighborhood Association (MHNA), the historic Florence Court apartments could be renovated as part of the project to build a new six-story, 84-unit apartment building at the site, where a BP gas station now stands at the corner of University Avenue on the north end of the 10th Avenue bridge. VISUAL ARTS | The letters and labors of Chank Diesel, font guru

You could be forgiven for thinking fonts aren’t fun. An ancient and esoteric craft, typography exemplifies the hard ideals of clarity and consistency, imbuing the printed word with authority and stripping it of the messy irregularity of handwriting. MORE »
